After 35 years, items from Tutankhamun's tomb return to London with an important exhibition that includes over 130 objects discovered in ancient Egyptian tombs, temples and cities. The first half of the exhibition relates to the period of Egyptian history immediately before the reign of Tutankhamun. The objects provide a background view of ancient Egypt, particularly the 18th dynasty to which Tutankhamun belonged. The second half of the exhibition takes visitors through Howard Carter's discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb and displays some of the objects recovered from it.
Here, you will find downloadable information, activities and resources about Tutankhamun, mapped to the National Curriculum and QCA, to use with children before, during and after your visit to the exhibition.
